Post-doc
The Unité d’Economie Appliquée (UEA) is recruiting a research fellow/post-doctoral fellow in management sciences or economics to study blockchain technology. The UEA (ENSTA Paris, i3-CRG, CNRS) is involved in a project funded by the Defence Innovation Agency (AID) in which several approaches to blockchain are being explored simultaneously: patent analysis, coordination models based on cooperative games, study of blockchain innovation ecosystems. The post-doctoral fellow will contribute to the latter.
The proposed position is a fixed-term contract of 1 year. The candidate will have to have a PhD thesis and justify :
— Expertise on the uses of blockchain.
— Knowledge of the French military and its innovation ecosystem.
To apply and for any information, candidates are invited to contact the Director and the Deputy Director of the UEA, respectively Richard LE GOFF (richard.le-goff@ensta-paris.fr) and Didier LEBERT (didier.lebert@ensta-paris.fr). The application file should include a detailed CV with a list of publications.
Interns
The Applied Economics Unit (UEA) of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Techniques Avancées (ENSTA Paris) is recruiting one or more interns at Master 2 level in economics or management to study global innovation ecosystems (including the Paris-Saclay cluster). The aim is to establish metrics to make comparisons in order to identify interesting practices that public decision-makers could seek to implement locally. The intern will support the laboratory’s researchers in the development and testing of metrics. Training in network theory will be provided as these tools are most often manipulated and applied to databases of scientific publications and patents. A literature review on existing rankings, on the identification of ecosystems, on their main characteristics, as well as quantitative treatments are expected and could lead to the writing of an academic article and recommendations for public decision makers.
The proposed position is a 6-month internship contract, starting in April 2023. It can be combined with a Master 2 in economics or management.
To apply and for any information, candidates are invited to contact the Director and the Deputy Director of the UEA, respectively Richard LE GOFF (richard.le-goff@ensta-paris.fr ) and Didier LEBERT (didier.lebert@ensta-paris.fr). The application file should include a detailed CV with M1 grades.
Head of studies
The Applied Economics Unit (UEA) of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Techniques Avancées (ENSTA Paris) is recruiting a research fellow (Master 2) in economics or management to study global innovation ecosystems. The aim is to establish metrics in order to make comparisons in order to identify, on the one hand, interesting practices that public decision-makers could seek to implement locally and, on the other hand, the strong points of the Paris-Saclay region internationally. The researcher will support the laboratory’s research team in the development and testing of metrics, and will be in charge of quantitative studies (econometrics, network analysis / graph theory) on scientific publications and patents data (Lens, Orbit Intelligence, PATSTAT databases). The objective is to produce scientific papers on these metrics and their first applications.
The proposed position is a fixed-term contract of 1 year. The candidate will have to have a M2 degree and justify :
— skills in econometrics, data analysis, or network analysis.
— knowledge of geographic economics would be a plus.
To apply and for further information, candidates are invited to contact the Director and the Deputy Director of the UEA, respectively Richard LE GOFF (richard.le-goff@ensta-paris.fr ) and Didier LEBERT (didier.lebert@ensta-paris.fr). The application file should include a detailed CV with grades from M1 and M2.
CIFRE doctoral student
The Applied Economics Unit (UEA) of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Techniques Avancées (ENSTA Paris) is recruiting a CIFRE PhD student in economics or management to study global innovation ecosystems. The CIFRE thesis will be carried out between the UEA and the Etablissement Public d’Aménagement Paris-Saclay (EPAPS).
The aim will be to situate the Paris-Saclay territory among the main global innovation clusters. There is a lack of metrics to establish comparisons and rankings, to identify good practices that could be implemented locally and also to promote the Paris-Saclay region internationally. The
